That or self aware of what I think unlike your clear projection, of your fears about homosexuality and being one subconsciously. Oh…That burns huh? Something I’m sure you are used to anyway, the burning I mean. You know, STD’s and what not.

@guardcorp gay

Are females better than males for someone who is only experienced with small dogs?

@guardcorp yeah thanks she went to her first vet visit with me the other day and did amazing no barking she is actually excited to see new people her ears flop back I take her to the skate park with me so she is around a bunch of people which I think is helping. She is terrified of water tho I wish I could get her out of that stage I would like to see her swim sometime in like a lake.

@BlackDragonSociety91 I wish I was you! You are so lucky!

@skateVA90

Just take him to dog parks every now and again, should be fine….Animals in your own household and people in your own household do not count because they are part of his pack.

@mrj1113

I know what your saying. Its really beautiful to have something care for you that much, the bond between master and German shepherd is truly amazing. I know my dog will do anything for me that it possibly is able to, and I would do the same in return. Does your dog sleep in intervals? Mine only gets minutes of sleep at a time in order to stay vigilant, I feel really safe with him.

my german shepherd is terrified of water, whines constantly if your not giving her treats (shes healthy) and loves eating my guinea pigs poo…

@lalo24681 It takes months for them to get it there basically like a kid if you don’t take it out then it’s going to go.

@lemonsx0 I haven’t gotten mine in the pool yet but if on a boat im sure I could get her in the water

@guardcorp Mine is 5months old and has been around alot of people and a few dogs so hopefully she is getting good socialization. Oh yeah one cat lol

Mine is like yours guardcorp, she don’t like other dogs and if she sees one she’s ready to attack. I don’t let her near other people, and I keep her on a choke chain also. She is 100% loyal to me and my family though, and she knows I am her master but anyone else needs to stay away.

my german shepherds terrified of water

really? I’ve been trying to potty train mine for 3 weeks now but he still pees in the house. any help?

@ItsFatSantaa
english is not my native language.
so to you it might be hilarious but i really dont give a shit when i make mistake’s in a language not native to me.
sorry to burst your bubble.

@ryemanX22 it means socialized with other dogs AND other people. German shepherd dog is very attached and obedient to the owner if trained properly. Basically you have to teach your dog that you are the boss or he will behave like your leader (dog considers you and your family his herd). If the dog is always alone, he/she can have problems when meeting other dogs or run/attack other people. Get him used to presence of your friends and arrange playing with other friendly dogs when in a walk.

@thratu4ever comon sense??? :Future reference “Common”

@ChristopherSkates4ev Nope. Besides the obvious point that dogs don’t understand spoken human language. Dog’s recognize sounds and gestures- it doesn’t matter what language it is. Training dogs in a foreign is mostly for the (non)benefit of people. Cops do this so that the suspect wont know what the dog is about to do. If the cop’s speaking in German or French and says “Attack” the suspect has no clue but the dog does.

when they say the dog needs to be properly socialized, does that mean with other dogs? or just socialize with their family/owners ?

@guardcorp lol,i just got 1 yesterday – its 5 wks. old and i dont want it to turn out like that so we try to be as nice as we can to it :P

Hey Ive got a question out there for the people who KNOW a lot of about dogs and what there talking about. I’ve always loved dogs and im finally responsible to have a dog and ive been looking in to German, Belgian, Dutch Shepherds and Golden Retriever and im very satisfied with looks, training, history ect but Im also wondering what would be a wiser discison for a dog that likes to hunt, take long runs, be a house pet, ect. Its a hard discision on whether or not to get a G Shepherd or Golden.

@thratu4ever well sorry for asking okay. and yes im from the usa. well i do not want to debate over the internet so thank you for the answer
